Based on the information submitted to the Philippine Embassy by different Filipino organizations, associations and individuals, H. E. Ambassador Lourdes O. Yparraguirre presented the Certificate of Appreciation to Filipinos and Filipino-Austrian individuals and groups who performed humanitarian assistance to the victims of Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng and whose contributions helped in the relief efforts of the Philippine Government.

The contributions varied from cash donations and medical missions, collections in the Sunday Masses to a benefit Ballroom dance organized by different associations and organizations in Vienna.

The awarding was held during the Christmas Reception hosted by H.E. Ambassador Lourdes O. Yparraguirre on 20 December 2010.
